Lately the International Crises Group (ICG) gave out a bias report under the heading “Eritrea siege state”. In my opinion, that is a totally misleading report. The ICG used some facts and some distorted images and came out with completely wrong conclusion. What I find ironic is, not the ICG wrote such a misleading report, but how come this internationally know Group could write an idiotic report which have nothing to do with the reality of Eritrea what so ever, even the Ethiopian regime who under the umbrella the USA trying to destabilize Eritrea wouldn’t dare to dream of such conclusions.
I am not going to argue the report point by point. Because the report it is rubbish and have nothing to do with the reality. Seeing is believing, so anyone who really is interested could anytime visit Eritrea and see.
The fact is Eritrea one of the most stable countries in Africa and getting more stable both economically and politically. Eritrea is a developing country in a nation building process. The Eritrean people back the government and are well determined to achieve self-reliance. That’s why against all pressure and obstacles, Eritrea could attain tremendous achievements in health, social-services and education sectors. As the Eritreans always say – Against all odds!!
My opinion is Eritrea in the contrary to what the ICG claims; will become the beacon of Africa. – The country that could stand by its own and overcome the neo-colonial grip. Could this scenario be the ICG trying to cover-up?
